Lucia Flores was the queen of the kingdom of Avalor until she and her husband, King Raul, were both killed by Queen Shuriki, who overthrew their kingdom and reigned for forty-one years, until their eldest daughter, Elena, who had been trapped within the Amulet of Avalor for all that time, had been released and defeated her.

Lucia Flores was born to Francisco Flores and Luisa Flores.[1]
Lucia was a skilled musician, having a talent for guitar and singing, like her father.[1][2]
In her youth, Lucia participated in fencing tournaments without her parents' knowledge. She broke her wrist while fighting Lord Elrod.[3]
At some point, she married King Raul and had two children with him, Princess Elena and Princess Isabel.
Lucia sung "Love Always" to her daughters often, a song that they would later hold dearly in their memories after her passing.[4]
